CD Release Date Coming Soon

FULL ALBUM #ROCKTHEWATER  HAS BEEN MASTERED & SHOULD BE AVAILABLE IN THE NEXT COUPLE OF WEEKS!!!

It seems like yesterday I picked up the guitar for the first time.  For years I was just the ‘guitarist’, and I was always happy with that, but behind closed doors, from day one, I was writing songs and singing (when nobody could hear me of course). Ha… I still like to write in the bathroom 🙂  I always thought I sucked. Even to this day, it is hard to listen to my own songs with out being overly judgmental about  not sounding like some of my favorite artists; Foo Fighters, John Mayer, Eric Clapton, etc.

Today it HIT me! Who cares!!!!! I’m an artist and I sound like ME!

I just scheduled a meeting Sunday night to go review my mastered album, with Polyphonic Mastering Labs,  before I release it to the world. 8 songs that I wrote (should have been 10 but that’s another story). 8 songs that will soon  be on every digital site online and a physical  CD that will be my first, but not last, attempt at exposing my songs to the world in hopes that they will live long beyond what ever time I am granted on this planet! At the time of recording these songs they were the best I had in me. Today, I realize by recording Rock The Water it was just a spark igniting a flame. It has resulted in the inspiration for so many new songs I can’t begin to describe…

Thanks again to Scott Pinder, of Polyphonic Mastering Labs,   for mastering my album Rock The Water and as well to producer & engineer Len Milne for making this possible!

Stay tuned! CD release date is coming REAL REAL soon!

Cheers,

Lee

PS.  I may release the album on Oct. 5th (Alexander Keith’s Birthday) ….thoughts?

Pick Up The Phone

Len Milne ~ Bedside Studio

Just got back from Len Milne’s Bedside Studio recording the ethereal sounds for ‘Pick Up The Phone‘ and almost can’t describe the craziness. We have used no drummer but YET have a a crazy wicked beat to this song that is hard to describe other than ‘ far out’. To do this wild ear candy we have added the following to this song; pennies on a snare, e-bow slide on Gibson electric guitar, shaker, bass drum modified through an effects panel & tambourine. We’ll be introducing some digital sounds in this song, but the vast majority is 100% au natural creative musical mojo!

Here is a pic of Len Milne, my producer and recording engineer, adding a repetitive secondary guitar part on his ‘Gibson’ 🙂

Can’t wait for you all to hear this one. I promise you it will be worth the wait when the album is released. I’m sure people will hear something new every time they listen to ‘Pick Up The Phone’!

It’s actually a song that I think people will either love or hate… no in between on this one.

Cheers,

Lee

In Studio This Wednesday

Well, it’s official.

I am booked in with Len Milne (BedSide Recording Studio) to start recording ‘One & The Same‘ for David Suzuki’s Playlist for the Planet. To say I am excited is an understatement!!!

Since the deadline for uploading songs to  Suzuki’s contest is August 15th we are going to have to work fast to pull all the musicians together necessary. This song will hopefully have female vocal harmonies, tambourine, bongos, piano, group vocals & possibly violin. Trying to get this puppy finished by the third week in July to allow at least three weeks to promote on & offline.

Whatever you are doing this Wednesday evening… please send any good Karma available my way 🙂
